It’s never too early to start Thanksgiving and Christmas travel planning.
The good news is that many city hotels will not be full during the period.
That includes the possible exceptions of the Caribbean and Hawaii, where the hotels and resorts will almost always be full, or at least very expensive.
Otherwise you can find bargains easily.
A lot of those hotels will offer value added extras like free breakfast, kids stay free, and free parking.
Some will even allow late check out.
But what if you’re headed to a location where the hotels are at capacity?
Check local colleges at your destination.
Chances are you’ll find a lot of empty dormitory rooms that many universities will rent out on a short term basis at very attractive rates.
