The change is really surprising given that Lenovo and Motorola have very serious global presence, while Xiaomi has big ambitions to break into world markets. However, the statistics from IDC is not in favor of the combination Lenovo-Motorola, as the pair was third in the report for 2014, then at the fifth position before leaving the top five.

IDC explains these variations with quite unstable Chinese market changes that affect practically all manufacturers. In addition to launching traditional explanation that the smartphone market is already saturated and consumers are not buying as much as before. On top leader continues to be Samsung, followed by Apple and Huawei.
