Right now, you can only play Oculus Rift games using an Xbox One pad – but that’s about to change. The Oculus Touch will be hitting the market on Tuesday, December 6.

You can place a pre-order starting on Monday, October 10 at £189.99/$199, with the controllers coming bundled with VR Sports Challenge and The Unspoken.

Each Oculus Touch controller also comes with a sensor and connector for Rock Band VR.Additional sensors will go on sale on the Oculus website from launch in December.

Among the first wave of Touch titles coming to Oculus Rift are survivalist first-person shooter game Arktika.1 (4A Games), the robotic warfare of Robo Recall (Epic Games) and space epic Lone Echo (from Ready at Dawn).

As we previously pointed out, the long-awaited Oculus Touch controller’s £189.99 price tag is nearly as much as buying the PS4 Slim – £249 – or the equivalent of almost five DualShock 4 controllers.

Those who opt to buy Oculus Touch can also take advantage of an expanded Avatars feature, which allows greater customisation of clothing, accessories and more to suit your own identity.

At today’s Oculus Connect 3, an October 10 pre-order was also set for the Oculus Earphones (also scheduled for a December 6 release).
