Sure, these days it seems with the traffic jams and increasing populations, cars seem to be a bit of a luxury to own. Unless you’re out in the suburbs of course! But if owning a car and having the freedom to roam the streets or get away for the weekend is your bag, then you’ve come to the right place. We’re here to give you the inside scoop on some of the cheapest cars of the year! And we’re not just talking cheaply produced, mass-scale cars. We’re talking the luxury sedans and sports coupes built by the Italian and German automotive powerhouses. Just goes to show that a little cash can go a long way, particularly when it comes to automobiles! Go on, have a little read!

Cadillac XTS

Cadillac XTS First cab, or cad off the rank, is the Cadillac XTS. Not what you were expecting on a “cheap cars” list eh? When the XTS was released, there was quite a bit of hype, but sadly it fell short in achieving driving dynamics similar to its predecessors the ATS and CTS respectively. When it came to luxury too, it certainly wasn’t anywhere near the CT6 – so as far as cars go, it was a bit of an awkward hybrid that didn’t make the intended statement.

Looks like someone was fired over that one! But on the plus side for bargain-hunting consumers, you can drive away with a 2013 model for half of its initial market opening price!

Mercedes S-Class

Now the S Class is well, pure class. One of Mercedes-Benz’s high luxury offerings, the vehicle known as Sonderklasse (German for “special class”) is a series of full-sized flagship vehicles. With predecessors dating back as far as 1954, the S-Class is pretty iconic for the brand. It’s important for Mercedes-Benz to be the top of its class, and as such, that means that new models are released frequently.

As a result, new models demand extravagant prices. But on the flip side, this means that if you wait a few years, you can pick up an S-class at almost 40% less than the retail! If you’ve got the cash to purchase the newest model, by all means, go for it – but if you wait a few years, you could save a small fortune that’s for sure!
