HGK BMW F22 Eurofighter drifting – 820 pure horsepower! Riga based Latvian tuner HGK Motorsport has put together one of the most impressive builds we’ve seen in a while. The designation F22 doesn’t belong to the Raptor jet alone: it’s also what Munich calls the 2 Series coupe, upon which the venerable M2 is based. This particular number, however, has been tuned by HGK Motorsport

HGK is already well known for building BMW race cars. Its relationship with the E46 chassis is well documented, and, thanks to Kristaps’ rapid success with HGK CrocoFD in Formula D, it became worldwide. This, however, is HGK’s first time tuning a BMW’s 2 Series F22 chassis.

The Latvian racing tuner has completely transformed this BMW for drifting, stripping it down to its bare chassis and rebuilding it from the ground up. It packs a General Motors LS V8 crate engine tuned by Mast Motorsports to 820 horsepower!! It’s mated to a Samsonas five-speed sequential transmission and Winters differential. It’s got a Callies Magnum crank, Billet rods, Diamond Racing pistons, Total Seal Advanced Profiling steel rings, titanium intake valves, retainers and valve locks. And these are just some of the modifications applied to the engine.
The car also features a revamped chassis, a full roll-cage, front and rear crash bars, custom fully adjustable suspension, Wilwood brakes and a 40-liter fuel cell. All that is enveloped in custom Kevlar carbon-fiber bodywork that makes it look as mean as any military aircraft. The first thing that strikes you about the Kevlar-clad exterior is just how menacing and aggressive this F22 Eurofighter bodykit looks. It’s been built to Formula Drift specifications, and has just been delivered to MK Racing in Qatar – but you can check it out in this heart-pumping video courtesy of Robyworks. Check out this extraordinary HGK BMW!
