Grapes are a refreshing and nutritious snack any time of the year. Most of us know to keep this fruit in the fridge, but how long do they actually last?

Grapes can last around 5-10 days in the fridge and don’t keep much longer past that date.

Store your grapes in the back of the crisper drawer to maximize their freshness. Keep them on the vine rather than separating each piece from the stem.

This delicate fruit isn’t a fan of moisture, so make sure to wash them right before you eat them. If you rinse grapes before storing them in the fridge, they could develop mold faster.

Keep your grapes in the bag or container they came in. The holes in the package allow air to circumvent so moisture won’t get trapped and create premature molding.

Ideally, your grapes are at their best when they’re plump and juicy. If they’re starting to get wrinkly, they’re starting to go bad. Brown spots, discoloration, and bruising are other signs it’s time to throw them out.

Since grapes are one of the items on the dirty dozen list, thoroughly wash them before eating. You can also clean your fruits and veggies with baking soda to remove leftover pesticide residue.
