This Costco Lululemon Alternative Is So Affordable

Costco has become a major contender in the world of fashion alternatives. While the chain is known for things like bulk groceries and other household supplies, it’s started to take the fashion industry by storm, especially when it comes to creating “dupes” of extremely expensive and often sold-out items.

The latest Costco win is its Lululemon Perfectly Oversized Crew alternative.

Not only is Costco’s version less expensive, but it comes in more colors.

The Lululemon Perfectly Oversized Crew retails for over $100. While it’s currently on sale for $79, that’s still steep for a sweatshirt, no matter how comfortable it is. If you’ve had your eye on this crew for a while but haven’t been able to justify the price, look no further than Costco for a suitable alternative.

Costco’s Mondetta Ladies’ Scuba Crewneck is only $16.99 and is practically a dead-ringer for the Lululemon sweatshirt. It’s made of recycled and sustainable polyester and rayon, has a relaxed fit, and a dropped shoulder to provide a cozy, casual, comfortable look—one that’s almost identical to the Lululemon option.

The only differences? The Costco version might run a bit shorter (the Lululemon sweatshirt is designed to cover your behind), and the materials are different. The Lululemon crew is made of French terry fabric.

However, both sweatshirts are designed to be comfortable and cozy enough for everyday wear.

The Costco option is gaining a lot of traction thanks to TikTok. It’s gone viral on the platform, and user @briannaguedua shows why: it’s soft and affordable, and it seems like the color options are less likely to be sold out in different sizes than the Lululemon version. Yes, the Costco dupe comes in plus sizes, too!

If the Costco version does sell out online, there’s another more budget-friendly Amazon alternative to the Lululemon sweatshirt. It comes in several colors, looks very similar, and is in the middle of the three versions when it comes to price.

Again, Costco’s version runs for $16.99 online. But, if you have a Costco nearby and you’re a member, you might be able to catch these on sale in-store. That makes it easy to stock up on different colors and enjoy several Costco dupes for the price of one Lululemon sweatshirt.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with splurging a bit on the Lululemon option. Typically, when an article of clothing is more expensive—especially from a trusted brand—that means it’s built to last, and it’s an answer to “fast fashion,” which can be more sustainable.

But, Costco’s version doubles down on sustainability by using recycled materials, so you don’t have to feel bad about the “fast fashion” price, and you can enjoy wearing your sweatshirts just about anywhere throughout the fall and winter. You can’t go wrong with either option, but Costco is definitely showing its membership worth once again with another awesome fashion alternative.
