After showing last year’s cruise collection in a Palm Springs modernist masterpiecedesigned by John Lautner, Nicolas Ghesquière is turning to yet another architectural landmark for this year’s Louis Vuitton event. In keeping with the current Olympics-inspired fervor for all things Brazil, he will show the line at the Oscar Niemeyer–designed Niterói Museum in Rio de Janeiro. Per Women’s Wear Daily, the show will take place in the modernist landmark (which resembles a flying saucer) on May 28.

Ghesquière told the paper that “[it’s] about being transported into a relationship where nature, geography and architecture come together.” The museum, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, has never been the site of a fashion show before, but its signature red ramp will double nicely as a red carpet for the show’s celebrity guests.
