Rajshahi University (RU) authorities have handed over a list of 30 students of different departments who remained absent for a long time, UNB reports.  RU Proctor Mozibul Huq Azad Khan said they sent the list to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) following a request from the police.

Earlier in a letter, the RMP had urged the RU authorities to make a list of their missing students and inform it. Later, the university formed a committee to make the list of the dropouts and those absent, and it finally found that 30 students from 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 academic sessions were absent.

RMP Assistant Commissioner (Rajpara) Iftekhayer Alam, also the spokesperson of RMP, said they have already started investigation into the whereabouts of the missing students.

However, he did not disclose the names of those are in the list.
