The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is a concept that’s supposed to be perfectly off-road worth ride that hopefully, Chevy will build. This cool built was shown to us back it 2014, when Chevy said that the ZR2 will make its debut in 2016. Now, rumor has it that we will actually witness its existence in 2017 and we can’t wait to see it hit the market, the streets and lastly the off-road.
The concept stays as it is; fitted with 181 horsepower cranking out 369 lbs-feet of torque. The only known transmission that is available on the Colorado ZR2 is a six-speed automatic transmission and what appears to be the feature that many people look forward to seeing in this Chevy Colorado in the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel.
Compared to the previous model, the Colorado zr2 is lifted for 2 inches, features 4-inch wider stance from and rear as well as integral skid plates. The combination of features that this biggies has is perfect for tricky angles ( as far as an off-roader is concerned) and of course. the off-road capabilities are maximized. Those are pretty much all the goodies that the ColoradoZR2 has that make it stand out from the crowd. You can’t expect to see a Colorado that’s capable of hitting the dirt with such capabilities in stock version anyway.
Considering what Chevy offers here, if we do see it come to life this will surely be the unique thing in the segment. In addition, diesel-heads and off-road enthusiast will be going crazy about it so, Chevy better not be fronting here; we want to see it in the wild!
