My quiet obsession with loafers began around mid-July when I purchased my first pair. Backless and classic, they were the polished slip-on my shoe closet had been lacking. When I fell in love with a second pair, this one tasseled, I worried that having two might be redundant. I purchased them anyways and waited for the buyer’s remorse to set in. To my surprise, it never did, as I discovered that the latter, while similar, worked for completely different situations. The tassel situation on the second pair add an instant cool factor to any ensemble and work with some of my favorite edgier pieces, like this celestial IRO romper, which I slipped into for an after-work event.
